ISISAR's progressive programmes operate under -
I. Study Scheme for an analysis and for intercommunication of different Socio-cultural thoughts and expressions through lectures, discussions, meetings, seminars, workshops, international conferences, etc.
II. Research Scheme for the cultivation of socio-cultural values through research projects, publications, etc.
III. Welfare Scheme for the application of human values through social services, community development programmes, assistance and healthcare programmes for the poor and repressed people of different undeveloped communities.
A brief reference of ISISAR's activities, undertaken so far:
1. In different occassions, ISISAR has organised several lectures by the distinguished personalities from India and abroad like, Dr. T Organ, Dr. G F Maclean, Dr. G T Martin, Dr. A K Sarkar, Dr. J N Mahanti, Dr. P Murphy, and many others from USA; Dr. D W Brokensha, UK; Dr. J A Odhiambo, Africa; Dr. B Rehman, Dr. J Anwar from Bangladesh; Dr. S K Mukherjee, Dr. D P Chattopadhyay, Prof. A K Majumdar, and many other elevated personalities from different corners from India.
2. Society also organised several Symposia, seminars, workshops, conferences on different themes like, Integration, Freedom, Value, Harmony, Peace, etc. including the celebrations of Golden Jubilee of India's Independence.
3. Organised International Peace conferences with several organisations from India and abroad. International Peace Conferences like, 'World Peace Thinkers' Meet' on Exploration of Paths of Peace in a Strife-Torn World from 3rd to 7th January, 2001; World Peace Conference on Problems of Harmony and Prospect of Global Harmony from 29th March to 2nd April, 2002; World Peace Congress on Violence, Non-violence and World Peace from 5th to 9th January, 2005; World Thinkers' and Poets' Peace Meet on Conflicts, Harmony and Peace with 12th Provisional World Parliament and 13th International Conference of International Philosophers for Peace from 27th to 31st Decemver, 2010.
4. Society is celebrating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Great Poet of the World Rabindranath Tagore and Centenary of His Gitanjali (Song Offerings) for which he was awarded Nobel Prize, by organizing several programmes on the thoughts of Rabindranath from Peace Meet, 2010 to concluding session on Tagore in 2012. With publication of Special Volume 'Global Vision of Rabindranath Tagore'.
5. Society has been preparing a project of celebrating 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, National & International Hero, from 2012 to 2013, with the publication of Special Volume ' Swami Vivekananda's Vision of Harmony and Peace'.
6. Generation Making Programme: Society has prepared and circulated with the implementation of ISISAR's Model of Peace Education for training the students in schools, colleges, and in higher education (at par with Peace Education Model of UNESCO) for Peace against Violence.
7. Institutional Project: ISISAR has prepared its Peace Project with the foundation of Peace Institute at Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
